Lindsay Nyman is the founder of Leading Woman Films. As a director, she creates documentaries that amplify stories of shared humanity and interconnectedness. A New York native, Lindsay began her career as an actress before moving into writing and directing at UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. After writing the award-winning narrative short The Blind Center, she launched the initiative Film By The Blind, producing and championing films by filmmakers who are blind and low-vision.

She discovered her passion for documentary filmmaking after creating video content for a women-driven social impact venture in Southeast Asia, which led her to discover the subject for her debut short documentary, They Call Me The Tattoo Witch, where she worked with a local all-female crew in Hanoi, Vietnam to ensure cultural and ethical integrity. She is currently developing a peace leadership storytelling program at the Euphrates Institute.
